2025 SOBEWFF Miami Food & Wine

Miami!!! this is one of my favorite cities to visit because of the food. More than 128 languages are spoken in Miami, showing just how packed with culture this amazing city is!
This food fest has been on my list but was lower down due to the price, I paid $280 per person for our tickets to the Grand Tasting Village. Most food fests are half this price but I needed to cross this one off my list. Let's jump into my review of the event, things I liked, loved and disliked, so you can be prepared when you go!

Signing up for the email newsletter got me easy notice on when tickets went on sale, I grabbed mine in November for the event in February. I was very surprised to see there was no VIP for this event, no early entry, no special seating area, no special nada, I just assumed Miami=VIP.

For the Saturday event, we drove in on Friday and stayed in Coconut Grove to enjoy LIFETIME and have a nice walkable nook to enjoy outside of the event. We knew parking was going to be pricey, so we planned to spend the ENTIRE day on Miami beach.

The food fest was from noon to 5p.m. but we parked at a hotel a street over from the beach for $70 and stayed till 10pm. $70 well spent for a 2-minute walk to the event, I'm sure we would spend much more than that if we ordered rideshare roundtrip.

What to Bring & Wear: Luckily this event is held in February, so the weather was beautiful. Grab a comfy sweat proof outfit, sunscreen and shoes that are easy to remove for walking in the sand as the event is completely on the beach!

🔑The Secret Game Changer: As I walked into the event and saw the layout, I noticed the event was way larger than I expected and as everyone walked in, we were bunching at the booths near the entrance. So I grabbed my boyfriend and we walked to the furthest point in the event, so we could work our way forward with less people. This gave us less stress, less lines and such a chiller vibe as we could take our time from the furthest booths!

I liked the interactive vendor booths, were packed with themed decorations but I hated the lack of seating and all the sand. By the end of the event, I felt like I was trying to work through snow, it became old quick. I loved the interactive food/drink booths! Near the entrance of the area was most of the highly decorated booth displays. These booths also had some seating you could snag.

The festival also had a good balance of food and alcoholic drinks, it was about 50-50 but there were very limited no alcohol options. I loved the diversity of food, the options felt endless here, I think there were more than 100 food booths, I definably didn't get to try all of them. Everything was delicious and fresh too.

My biggest disappointment was the long lines for "free swag" where you had to give away your email and a kidney for anything. I skipped those but was happy with this truly free food network tumbler. This my first food fest with this much email mining, but the items were cute!

The food felt like hundreds of booths, I really did appreciate the diversity of foods. Bring comfy shoes to walk through the sand and 3 football sized tents and side themed booths packed with amazing food and delicious drinks. Here are my food pics from event. My favorites were BBQ sliders, slow simmered beef meatball, the perfect jerk chicken, steak tacos and all the Hot Ones sauces!!
